Pick flowers, learn new skills, meet new friends and enjoy the unique atmosphere.
Abbey Farm Flowers is designed to get our flowers as close to our customers and visitors as possible. You can visit us at Abbey Farm, Abbotsbury. Park in the village car park & it's a very short walk down the hill, or disabled parking is available via the lane in front of our shop, accessed off Church Street.
Pop into our shop, and even have a go at picking your own flowers; PYO is available any time we are open. It's free to come and look around, you only pay to pick, so bring the whole family! A vase full (a generous bouquet) is £20, a child's jam jar £10. If you have a long journey home ask for a 'special' bouquet, which is wrapped with water to make sure it gets home nice and fresh.
Abbey Farm is a new development based around the medieval tithe barn, with artisans and artists and also a very good cafe at Cherries on site. It can be a quick trip or a whole day out! Our flowers are very seasonal, so please check the website or social media for our opening times before you come. Our shop is evolving, and will be a seasonal treasure trove of dried flowers, gifts, seeds and all things floral. The shop is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 10-4, unless the weather is against us, with PYO any time we are open (when flowers are in season!)
Also, if you're just interested and want to have a look around, please pop in. We hope to see lots of people wandering in 'just looking' this summer, so don't be shy - 'just looking' is always welcome! Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome, and the PYO area is level wood chip paths, so suitable for pushchairs. Parking is in the village car park on the B3157, just near the Swan Inn on the Weymouth end of the village. Abbotsbury is on the X51 & X53 bus routes.
Pick Your Own is available March to October, any time we are open. We are always free to visit, only the picker pays, so bring as many friends and family as you want! Booking recommended but not necessary.
We host lots of different workshops, including floristry and different crafts, and are avaialble for private events.
Throughout the year we and our neighbours in Abbey Farm hold fairs, markets and celebrations. Most are free to visit, and all are great fun!
